This route takes you on a trek through the Cascade Head National Scenic Research Area, which harbors one of the six remaining populations of the threatened Oregon silverspot butterfly and rare wildflowers.
You’ll take a journey through coastal forest where you may see Roosevelt elk or black-tail deer and then arrive on the top of the open, windy summit of Cascade Head. Trail surface: Dirt path, wood-chip path, wood ramps, wooden bridges, and stairs.
