This mostly singletrack route takes you to the top of 1,495-foot Dimple Hill in the McDonald Dunn Research Forest just outside of Corvallis. Views. Just outside the Corvallis city limits is the McDonald Dunn Research Forest, which is host to dozens of trails that are very popular with runners, walkers, hikers, and mountain bikers.
This out-and-back route gives you a good introduction to this fantastic trail-running area. The route starts in Chip Ross Park and climbs through scenic forest to the summit of 1,495-foot Dimple Hill. From the summit you’ll have awesome views (on a clear day) of Corvallis and the surrounding Coast Mountain Range. Watch your footing on some nasty root sections.
