This was a great hike - good exercise, but not too tough. The trail was great up through the pass, but then, when the peak trail branched off, it was clear that no one had maintained the peak trail - dozens of large trees blocked the path throughout the final mile or so to the summit. Fortunately the trail was usually pretty easy to find on the other side. The views from the summit were extraordinary! There were also a fair number of giant sequoias right along the trail.
