The first 1.5 miles of the ungated Olney Creek Road are 4-x-4 drivable, although the family car would quickly be swallowed in road-spanning puddles. It’s pleasant walking in country that feels more like an Appalachian hollow than a typical Cascade valley, partly because of the high proportion of deciduous trees.
