This trip offers great views of the small glaciers in Pride Basin. The trail meanders up through forest with no views until near the top. If you go to the right (west) side of this ridge and look west, there is a spectacular, knockout view of Sloan Peak to the north and Cadet, Monte Cristo, and Kyes Peaks side by side to the south. There is no sidetrail to this spot and it isn’t easy to find, but what a spectacular place to have lunch in solitude on a sunny day!
