You may be reading the directions to this one and thinking, “What a drive!” And the road is rough. But when you’re on Ed’s Trail approaching Silver Star Mountain, you’ll be thinking, “This is too beautiful and mountainous to be so close to town!” This flowersoaked traverse through rocky alpine country is worth all the hassles of getting here.

Tennis shoes are fine! Lovely fields of Batchelor Buttons waving in the Gorge winds. Foot traffic and bike traffic light on this paved path thru the twin tunnels. Finally got some sun in the east end of the Gorge.
