Glaciers creep, grow, shrink, make streams roar, and carve and move rock. Study glaciers this weekend, appreciate their power and beauty, and enjoy the scenery! Start at the Glacier Public Service Center, and take an immediate side trip to see dramatic, close-up views of glaciers on the northwest slopes of Mount Baker. Turn south past the center and drive about 10 miles to the end to see, among others, Coleman Glacier, the only advancing glacier in the contiguous United States.
