Enjoy an easy one-hour walk to informative viewpoints along a flowery subalpine meadow. The Silver Forest Trail involves two parts. First, a short descent leads to two informative exhibits with great views of Mount Rainier. Then the trail continues east through subalpine forest and meadow. To find the trailhead, park in the Sunrise parking lot. From the south side of the lot, directly across from the ranger station and cafeteria, a trail heads south and a dirt road heads west. As the sign directs, follow the southbound trail, the Emmons Vista Nature Trail.
