Iconic North Cascades peak Mount Shuksan is the star of this classic hike. Traverse old-growth forest, boggy meadows, and talus slopes, all while anticipating hidden Lake Ann. And once she’s revealed—dark blue-green waters oft ringed in snow—her charm is enhanced a hundred-fold by the awesome backdrop of craggy, glacier-clad, 9127-foot Mount Shuksan towering directly above.

This was a great hike, Lake Anne was beautiful, with fresh snow. I saw a hunter looking for bear, then later on my way out I saw the Bear ( evidently the hunter did not )
