Great trail, however one major problem this season is that the road was washed out this past winter 4.5 miles prior to the trailhead and the Ranger Station. A side trail has been created along the river that drops you on the other side of the road. If you don't mind adding an extra 9 miles (total in and out), it is a beautiful area hiking along the river valley. At the time of this hike the trail had not been cleared yet of fallen trees from the winter season, with some creativity they can all be overcome. Quite fun actually. We only hiked to Deception Creek camp as it was a one night trip. Nice camp with bear wire lines already set up.
