A challenging expedition, for hard-core fanatics only, to hot springs buried deep in the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Swimwear? You gotta be kidding! First, conjure up a pristine hot spring emerging from bedrock at the head of a canyon framed by jagged peaks, light years from the nearest outpost. Then, fit your humble body into the scene, boldly going where no one has gone before and seeking out secret soaks. This vision is known as the call of the wild hot spring, and the only cure is to follow it. But treatment can be risky unless proper precautions are taken. Check with the Forest Service on current conditions. Get a weather forecast and travel prepared. Go late in the summer or fall when the streams are low.
