All of the trail is still washed out, including the road 8 miles from the trail head. There is still a nice road walk, but that is about it. Don't bother with this trail until you contact the Darrington Ranger District.
This trail is gone and so is the hot spring. The cabin near the hot spring is gone as well. All were swept away by some sort of landslide cause when the area was dumped with about 12 inches of rainfall in 24 hrs this spring. According the the Forest Service office, multiple sections of the trail near the river caved in and the trail is closed indefinitely. Contact the Darrington Forest Service office for updates.
