This hike takes you through an old-growth forest with a green shag rug covering of moss and flowers to a thundering waterfall in a deep gorge. If the children are willing, climb to campsites near a subalpine lake.

Beautiful hike but know that the climb from the Sol Duc Falls to Deer lake is pretty steep and rocky. Caught some eastern brook trout in Deer lake and hiked up to the Seven Lakes Basin. Great hike!
