A new segment of the Chinook Trail on the site of a former logging railroad follows the East Fork of the Lewis River between two county parks with swimming opportunities for the kids. Paved part of the way for barrier-free access, it makes an easy walk with a stroller for parents of little children, offering outlooks over the river and benches to enjoy the forest views. At Moulton Falls Park there are opportunities for older children to swim and wade.
