This is a paradise for kids! Standing beside the 70-foot falls on a warm day, children scream with joy at the cold spray in their faces. The gravel bar and the creek into which the water falls usually are crowded with children wading, splashing, playing on the rocks, and “fishing”—as if the fish would endure such company! Traffic is loud on the Denny Creek section of freeway directly above, but the kids are oblivious to it.

Excellent little trip with the 6 yo. The last bit of trail is one way on the side of the mountain. MUST bring river shoes for the kiddos. Easy trail till the end. I would not take a stroller. Places along the trail to play in river as well.
