Great hike, well maintained trail. Even though it is the little sister to the big Si, it was a good work out. Great hike for taking the baby in the carrier and taking out of town guests. Nice view at summit with some peeks on the way. Was cool watching the rock climbers too.
Lots of people; nice and reasonable ascent for young kids (5-10). I even saw a 3 year old climbing along the trail.
Hike was a great work out. There was some fun scrambing to do. Trails were well maintained but signs and markers need to be worked on if not added. Was well worth the hike. Make sure you show up early...before 10am. Parking lot fills up quick! for those Geocachers out there. There is one at the top!!
Trail was in great shape. I would recommend leaving early, as the parking lots fill up by about 10 am, and the trail will be inundated with people. Fairly relaxed hike, good for those who don't hike much or are new to the game.
Go early - before 9am. Parking fills quickly. Even though the parking lot was full, the trail stayed rather quiet. Lots of sheer cliff faces - if you look up you may see some out climbing. The trail is quite shaded during the majority of the trip. The top is exposed to the elements, and offers great views of North Bend, Mt. Si, & surrounding peaks. Trekking poles really come in handy on this hike. Enjoy.
