Anacortes saved the 200 acres of land for this park decades ago, and what a treasure it is. Children will love being able to walk around Green Point, look out toward Rosario Strait and the San Juans, watch for orcas and porpoises, and then circle back toward the Anacortes waterfront alongside Burrows Channel. The beauty of mossy rock outcrops over water views contrasts with the woodland trail and lush evergreen forest. Have the kids watch for ferries, barges, bald eagles, harbor seals, hawks, and unusual wild flowers usually seen east of the Cascades.
