Starting high and staying high, this easy 8.2-mile out-and-back hike through alpine meadows and larch-covered slopes to Windy Pass and beyond to the shoulder of nearby Tamarack Peak surveys some of the most scenic landscape along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). From Tamarack Peak, you can continue along to Foggy Pass and beyond into the remote Pasayten Wilderness, with the option of completing a multi-day loop by returning via the Pasayten River Valley.

Starting high and staying high, this easy 8.2-mile out-and-back hike through alpine meadows and larch-covered slopes to Windy Pass and beyond to the shoulder of nearby Tamarack Peak surveys some of the most scenic landscape along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).
