Access a remote, scenic area in southeast Idaho. For the first 0.5 mile, the trail follows the South Fork of Bloomington Creek. Watch for resident moose lurking through willows and trout darting between pools. This used to be a road but has been blocked off with large boulders. At the junction head through the forest, crossing a small bridge, and begin the ascent up the ridge above Horse Flats. This section of the hike is available for motorcycle use, but the narrow trail would seem too steep and difficult to negotiate through its rocks and tree roots.
