This is a unique hike. It is hard to tell as you drive through the sagebrush that there is even a canyon there until you're right up on it. The trail is steep and rocky, and some stretches will be hard for those who are afraid of heights. Since the trail guide was written, the last stretch of road was closed and converted to hiking trail, so you can add another half mile and 100 feet of drop to the guide's estimate. The new trailhead is at 42.592878°, -115.977279°. We saw dozens of antelope near the canyon.
