This is a great two-day trip with beautiful scenery and fun fishing. It's moderately difficult all the way to Hideaway Lake because of the steep up and over of two divides. Trinity Lake campground is very popular, so you have to get there early to compete for a site. We took the horrible road from Anderson Ranch reservoir there, and the miserable Middle Fork Boise River road home. I would recommend going through Pine instead.

An enjoyable hike for my nine year old and me. The many mosquitos tried, but couldn't scare us off.
