A very pretty lake loop in scenic granite mountains. This is a popular area with routes to two different lakes that can put you in some very beautiful country quickly. A loop trip is also possible with a connecting trail between the lakes. Use can be heavy on weekends.

This is a wonderful and gorgeous hike. I am from Texas so the climb was strenuous for a sea level girl but well worth the view! Recommend this hike to anyone. We actually got a smudge lost however. Ended up on the Rapid Creek Trail which led us 9 miles directly away from our trailhead and car. We hitched a ride with some hunters and rode and hour in the cold in the rain in the bed of a pickup! :) It was so much fun though!!!!!

This is by far my favorite trail. I have done both the loop, or just to Boulder Lake and back. Coming up to Boulder lake could not be more beautiful scenery with the view of the valley, the small pools that litter the area and are perfect for sitting in on a hot day with family or friends, not to mention the waterfall that is accessable top or bottom. I would recomend this hike to EVERYONE. It can be seen as a bit steep to beggining hikers, but my 5 and 7 year olds can do it just fine....so keep hiking.
