The Living Room is the best room in the house for an accessible overview of the Salt Lake Valley. It’s furnished with charming sandstone chairs, armrests, and even coffee tables you can put your feet on. The hike leads through foothill vegetation and offers an onward scramble to a higher sandstone outcrop on a ridge above Red Butte Canyon.

The Living room is one of the most accessible trails near salt lake. Hike for about 40-50 minutes to the top and relax on the face of the mountain gazing at the entire salt like valley sitting on recliners made from rocks.
