An old jeep road, once used by fruitless prospectors and long since overgrown, leads into a hidden side canyon now frequented by knowing bow-hunters. The trail concludes at a ridgeline saddle with views into neighboring Red Butte Canyon and the Salt Lake Valley beyond.

A fun little hike with some nice views. It was a misty, windy day with temp about 60 degrees and wind-chill much lower. Nice view of reservoirs at start and Salt Lake Valley in distance at end. Not much along trail -mostly scrub oak. Bathroom at Trailhead but no water source. Bring water for trail - I expect it will be very hot on a sunny day in July/August.
