With recent trail construction, recreationists may now enjoy a shady, creekside route on the Cold Creek Trail to High Meadows and then a return on the old High Meadows Road. The verdant meadows offer a fine wildflower display in early summer and excellent views of towering Freel Peak and neighboring Jobs Sister and Jobs Peak year-round. Other trails and roads in the area offer additional extensions to this trip especially well suited to mountain bikers.
