Although some tourists would quibble with the notion, most hikers would agree that the stunning Lake Tahoe vista from the old Stateline Peak fire lookout is one of the most easily accessible grand views of the lake in the area. While not a soul can argue with the quality of the view, the half-mile-plus climb does gain a significant amount of elevation in a short distance. Interpretive signs and benches at the top enhance the visually stunning experience.
