Pretty much as described with the exception that the very first part of the trail is not terribly obvious. When you climb the first rise through the forest, stay at the base (to the left) of the open granite area as you progress. The trail becomes pretty obvious very soon after. Total time was about four hours out and back (with a lot of stops to take photographs). It's probably 2 to 2 1/2 hours if you just keep going. I posted a few photos on Google Earth at the appropriate locations along the trail.
