The parking area is paved, keep a sharp lookout and stay in the left hand lane after you cross the dam.
Also, the trail is well-marked. Just walk up the road (don't cross the bridge and take a right after the bridge).
This hike was great! It was a little tricky getting in to the canyon, we didn't see any marked trail on either side, but once we got up the hill on the left, it was easy to pick a path into the canyon. After only 15 minutes of walking, we were greeted by the sound of a small trickling stream. It continued for awhile, and we enjoyed the sites of some small waterfalls. I definitely recommend this hike for the winter/spring months.
