Best Hikes with Dogs: Arizona

One of the best trails I've done in a while. Elevation and difficulty didn't tire me out as much as I thought it would, even though it's the first major hike I've done this season. 20-30 degrees cooler than Phoenix (it was very overcast today). Lots of shade and great views.
Even after an extended monsoon season, the creek didn't have nearly as much water as expected - just a trickle in 2-3 places. Trail needs some maintenance. According to my gps, the waypoints mentioned by the author are WAY OFF! Switchbacks going away from the creek are after 1 mile, not .7. Also, boulder fields appear after almost 2.75 miles, not 1.8. I hiked in 3.8 miles and still didn't get to any panoramic views as written and no end in sight so I turned around. My gps lost reception in a few spots so maybe the author's did too.
Still a very enjoyable trail! I look forward to going back and hopefully completing the whole thing!
