The highlights in this trail system are the entire River View trail and the Collier homestead. On a hot summer day, they're the ONLY bright spots. Luckily the River View trail connects to the homestead, making for a nice out-and-back from the visitor's center. The Rock Wall trail is so named because of a very long, but very crumbled rock 'wall' that looks more like a neatly-made pile of rocks. It is hot and buggy in the summer months, as are the Buck Ridge and the connector trail. The connector trail, which happens to be the easternmost section of the Buffalo River Trail, seems to get very little use and even less maintenance, which means there'll be some log-hopping along the way. Going from the homestead to the BRT can be a little tricky as it is poorly signed. Head right at the roadway and keep a close eye on the woods for a sign of a break.
