Come to McArthur–Burney Falls Memorial State Park in the summer armed with reservations and children. You need reservations to get a campsite, and children to play with all the other kids teeming the campsites, hiking the trails, and cavorting on the beautiful beach by the marina. However, in the fall or spring, McArthur–Burney Falls offers peace and quiet. It is a premium state park with good swimming, fishing, and hiking, as well as comfortable camping with hot showers.
