Though just an hour’s hike above popular Boulder Lake, Tapie, Lost, and Found Lakes get hardly any traffic. Reaching the tiny lakes requires a cross-country scramble that deters most visitors, leaving the lakes in relative obscurity next to one of the Alps’ most-traveled trails. Highlights: A cross-country trek to three pretty little lakes in the rugged basin above Boulder Lake; some minor scrambling over granite and talus slopes.
