Once you have reached the wash you are on the trail. Follow the wash upcanyon. The lower sections of Iron Wash are less impressive, but as you proceed and approach the point where the canyon cuts through the San Rafael Reef, the canyon walls begin to tower up on either side. The canyon continues into the swell for about 4.5 miles and then begins to open up a little. As the canyon opens and the rock walls become black you have reached the end.

Easy hike through some very impressive scenery. Road location is actually between mile markers 141 and 142.
