This was a great hike through streams and meadows of the Uintas. Plenty of shade and solitude during the hike. After crossing the river the trail gets very steep however. There is about half a mile of a steep uphill battle and the trail continues uphill until you reach the lake. Be prepared. Also, after crossing the wide meadows the trail dissapears. Stick next to the river the best you can (don't cross it) and you'll pick up the trail along the river's edge soon enough.
Moderate might be a little on the optimistic side of the rating scale, especially if you are backpacking. But it's very doable and if you want to go to a lake that isn't frequented by every Tom, @$!*% and Harry, this is the one.
