A easy hike around the General Grant Grove. A great stop for families because of the easy terrain to navigate. Plenty of parking is available for cars and RV'S, and are clean restrooms available. A printed tour guide is available for a $1.00 that contains very useful information about the tress and plants. There are also placards along the trail that are very informative and give you a good perspective on the history of not only the grove itself but of events that occurred there. Well worth the stop.
This trail is much better at a time when the crowds are at a minimum. I went during the winter in the snow, and think I liked it better in the Grove seeing the trees with the snow, than in the summer. It is much more enjoyable and interesting if you pay the dollar to get an info map/booklet onsite because it has interesting facts etc. about the trees.
