It was the most gorgeous day you could hope for! It was sunny and still and the temperature was in the low 70's. It was a weekday in September so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The only thing missing was my dog. This trail does not allow them. That is the only reason I did not rate it a 5.
The trail is really easy and flat. It is just right if you don't have a lot of time and want to enjoy the forest. There are lots of old growth trees along this trail and we had fun trying to guess their age. The redwood sorrel was incredible here. It was extremely lush - thick and dark green. It was like carpet throughout the forest and was uniform enough to reveal the contours of the forest floor.
I definitely recommend it. Have fun!
