It was a great hike, though it was 30some degrees to start. Thankfully, the sun was warm. It was quite barren, obviously. I thought there might have been some oasis at the end, but no, it was right at the beginning. It was a fun trail, and I would do it again.
A splendid 1/2 day hike over broken but fairly level terrain. Sandy washes and a spectacular view of the far off "Salton Sea" are just a few of the pleasures along the way. The touch of life at the end of the trail is in stark contrast to the rocky desert environs.
