A vast, remote area where vehicle failure is a serious matter. Do not drive this trail alone. You must pass through a difficult canyon at the start of the trail. Only the most capable of stock vehicles can get through. You’ll need high ground clearance and excellent driving skill to avoid body damage. I encountered a full-size Suburban attempting to enter the canyon. He quickly became high centered on his low-slung running boards. South of this canyon, conditions range from easy to moderate with few difficult spots. The last 15 miles are easy unless Indian Creek is high. Best driven in late spring and fall. Hot in summer. Route-finding is easy after you locate the entry point through the initial canyon. Follow directions carefully.
