This little-known trail takes you across open rangeland but offers some very nice scenery as it follows along the backside of Rainbow Rocks. The dark purple color of the rock is unusual. You’ll pass by some large sand dunes on the left as you head northeast on Levi Well Road. Much of this trail is easy. The rocky moderate portion measures less than 2 miles and has one small challenge. Stock vehicles can get through with careful tire placement. One portion of the trail follows a dry creek bed where flash floods are possible but unlikely. Avoid the trail if heavy rains are expected.
