Jalama Beach County Park is a picturesque 28-acre park at the mouth of Jalama Creek between Point Arguello and Point Conception. The park includes a year-round campground with a half mile of shoreline, a small wetland habitat, a picnic area and general store. This isolated stretch of coastline at the west end of the Santa Ynez Mountains is backed by cliffs and lush, rolling hills. For centuries it was a Chumash Indian settlement. It is now bordered by Vandenberg Air Force Base.
