This popular local hike features an intriguing waterfall that plunges dramatically through a hole in the rock before cascading down the rocky drainage below. This short, refreshing hike skirts the Mill D South Fork Creek to Doughnut Falls, making it a popular destination for kids of all ages. This rugged little canyon, shaded with white, yellow, and blue spruce as well as Douglas fir, limber pine, and quaking aspen, is a fascinating location to visit and has much to offer families visiting the area. At the falls, water rushes from the small creek above into what appears to be a doughnut hole carved in stone. The water then splashes out below, cascading over the boulders and spraying a cool mist on visiting hikers.

Very beautiful at this time of the year. The hike from the main road/parking area to the trail head was longer than the trail though. Kind of confusing at the trail head as there is a trail that cuts off to the right. It will take you to the falls, but is not the trail. Previous snowshoers had cut a trail and followed that. Beautiful view of the Wasatch Mtns, easy hike really. One tough spot down a rock step. Deffinately heading back in the Summer to see how it looks.

It's public land again. In January of 2007 Salt Lake City purchased the land. -Deseret Morning News http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4188/is_20070120/ai_n17146520

This trail is no longer available. The land was bought by a private owner. They will no longer allow you on the property to go up and see the falls.
