Absolutely gorgeous! Take water shoes and you can continue up the creek as the canyon narrows.
What a great hike. We wanted to escape the heat of Phoenix so we headed to Sedona. We arrived around 10:30 and the parking lot wasn't completely full yet, but there were alot of groups there. At first we were a little worried that it was going to be constant people on the trail - but it was good. The first mile or two were alot of people, families, and dogs - we got to know some of them because we all walked together - but then after mile 2 when the trails becomes a little more primitive, it was a blast. Then we actually hiked another half mile in the water and lunched and then hiked back. This really would be a great trail for young kids (the first two miles) and if you keep going - it gets really quiet and seclued for those who want a more active trail.
PARKING AREA WAS FULL, AND CARS WERE WAITING IN LINE TO GET IN, SO WE BY-PASSED THIS TRAIL IN FAVOR OF A LESS CROWDED TRAIL -- LITTLE HORSE TRAIL OFF BELL ROCK PATHWAY, WHICH WAS A 2.5 HOUR ROUND TRIP.
