This is a nice hike during the fall color season. I recommend dropping a vehicle off at the bottom near the ranger station and hiking down from Point Rock instead of hiking it twice. This allows for a nice picnic lunch on the creek bank. Very rarely do you meet more than a couple of other groups on this trail as it is not very heavily used. Lots of boulders along the creek by the trail and some interesting formations as you pass below Point Rock on the upper section. Also, there''s a nice sinkhole about 1/3 of the way down. While at the top, be sure to explore the rocks around Point Rock; you can reach more spots than you''d initially think possible.
