This was a very nice trail with easy access from Guntersville Lake State Park camping area. It was actually right across the street from section B camping area. I walked Lickskillet to Meredith to cascades and cut thru to waterfall up to the lodge and then took lodge trail to lickskillet back to the campsite. I was out about 4.5 hours hiking solo at a pretty brisk pace. The herd of campsite deer seem to come down the lodge trail about an hour before dark. There were 12 of them including one small buck and 2 fawns (9 weeks old I was told). Lots of chipmonks and squirrels throughout the hike. They were doing a lot of bull dozer work up around the lodge so I assume they are trying to make that area less rustic, unfortunately.
