My sister and I had a GREAT time on this hike once we found the trail head, lol. The way up the mountain was a great cardiovascular work out, but not too hard on the legs. You cross streams and creeks several times. I can imagine that there is much more brush in the spring and summer. We did not encounter any wildlife. The view from the top of Talladega Mountain was great! The hike went very quick. It was almost over before we wanted it to be. We will be going back again, possibly even to camp.
This trail was a great hike with plenty of waterfalls and nice views. The best is toward the end of this hike and the water cascades down a long 45 degree incline with several dropoffs along the way. There is a large house sized boulder about 150 feet up the falls on the right which gave an excellent view when standing on top. It's difficult to get to, but was worth the effort.
