Hiking Utah's Summits

This turned into a snowshoe hike after about a mile of snow free trail, but that only added to the fun. The weather was overcast so our views were limited, but when a strong wind blew we often caught glimpses of Fish Lake from atop the plateau. Once you're on top or the plateau it is very easy to get disoriented because of the flat terrain. If the weather is overcast at all it will be important to bring a compass/gps in order to find your way down.
Fairly easy hiking and high altitude make this a fun weekend trip. The Fish Lake area is also quite beautiful is worth spending a couple hours exploring.
