A short, steep hike down to the Colorado River. The Spanish Bottom Trail drops steeply from the trailhead all the way down to the Colorado River, hitting the river just after the Colorado has absorbed the Green River. Even though the trail drops about 1,100 feet in about a mile, it’s still the easiest way to get to the Colorado River from the Doll House area. The well-constructed trail with frequent switchbacks partly mitigates the steepness. The trail is well defined and marked the entire way.
