This is a great day hike for hikers with a four-wheel-drive vehicle to reach the trailhead. If you’re camped at Devils Kitchen, this is an excellent choice for a day hike. The loop can be taken from either direction, but the clockwise route is described here. The trail starts just to the left of the sign at the south end of the campground and heads along a canyon wash for a few hundred yards. It then starts a gradual climb up toward the Pinnacle, a majestic sandstone formation and the highlight of this section of the Canyonlands. The trail alternates between slickrock and a well-defined dirt path for the entire 2.3 miles to the junction with the Chesler Park Trail.
