A tough day hike or moderate overnighter with lots of options and side trips. You have several options for seeing the Peekaboo Spring area. If you’re in the mood for a long, strenuous day hike, you can do 10 miles out and back. However, Salt Creek Road ends at Peekaboo Camp, so you can have less-ambitious members of your party meet you there for a quiet night in a beautiful desert campsite—if you can get a permit for this popular vehicle campsite. You can also make this an overnighter by camping at Backcountry Campsite LC1 in Lost Canyon.
