A route following Huber Wash through painted desert terrain in the southwestern corner of Zion National Park. This route takes the hiker up Huber Wash through some of the delicate desert terrain in Zion’s southwest corner. The Chinle and Moenkopi geologic formations in this section of the park were laid down during the Triassic Period. Examine the overlying Chinle Formation for shards of petrified wood. Bear in mind that disturbing these natural treasures is against the law; observe and enjoy them, but leave them intact so that others may have the same experience.
